Design and Technology at Samuel Allsopp Primary and Nursery School
At Samuel Allsopp Primary and Nursery School, we provide our children with exciting opportunities to develop their creative, analytical and problem-solving skills both as individuals and as part of a team. We aim to provide children with a greater awareness and understanding of how everyday products are designed and made.
Our aims are:
- to stimulate interest, enjoyment, curiosity and concern about technology.
- to develop an awareness of the significance of DT and the effects it has on the community, wider society and the environment.
- to develop a range of personal qualities such as safety awareness, perseverance, initiative, resilience and self-evaluation.
- to develop knowledge, skills and understanding of DT through planning and communicating ideas, and working with tools, equipment, materials, components and ingredients to make quality products.
